This project involves the complete renovation and interior redesign of an entire floor in the center of Athens, intended to house the offices of a startup company. Reflecting the dynamism and innovation of a modern entrepreneurial environment, the design embraces flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability.
The approach follows an open-plan layout, integrating meeting rooms, workspaces, presentation areas, as well as relaxation and socialization zones. The primary objective was to create a highly flexible environment, where spaces are not static but can evolve and transform according to users’ needs.
To achieve this, fully enclosed spaces were minimized, and blackout curtains were introduced to allow users to adjust the level of privacy and isolation depending on the activity. Similarly, the main meeting room was designed to be convertible, allowing it to function as the company’s primary dining area when needed.
A key focus was placed on the redefining of workspaces, utilizing desks with adaptable geometries that enable the formation of various configurations, catering to both individual tasks and group collaboration.
Beyond functionality, the design also considered the importance of relaxation and decompression. A dedicated space was created for employee downtime, featuring a foosball table and a casual seating area. At the center of the floor, two flexible lounge spaces with sofas, armchairs, cushions, and floor mats serve as socialization hubs, waiting areas for clients, or even alternative meeting and workspaces.
The design is completed with a vibrant color palette, initially proposed in two variations, with the final selection featuring a combination of olive and yellow, contrasted with orange and blue, reinforcing the energy and identity of the space.
The final result fully embodies the modern and dynamic nature of the company, where functions, needs, and activities constantly evolve and reshape. The space has been designed to allow for continuous adaptation, seamless collaboration, and freedom of movement, aligning with the standards of a startup with a progressive and European-inspired philosophy.
