The renovation of the hair salon, housed in a heritage building, focused on highlighting the unique exposed stone walls, which dominate both the interior and exterior of the space. This characteristic became the foundation of the design, as the stone exudes a sense of timelessness, embodies the local identity, and respects the historical value of the building.
The color palette was carefully selected to complement and enhance the natural texture of the stone and the building’s historical features. A soft olive hue was applied to the ceiling, subtly extending onto the walls, creating an elegant border that adds depth and harmony. Additionally, a deep velvet-textured orange, inspired by the earthy tones of the region’s stone, brings warmth and vibrancy to the space while reinforcing the connection between the old and the new.
One of the main design objectives was to balance privacy with the need to highlight the impressive ceiling height while preserving the historical character of the building. At the center of the salon, a large tree was placed, surrounded by a striking installation of vertical metal mirrors and pendant lights extending to the ceiling. This composition accentuates the space’s height while featuring a circular counter at its base, serving as the main service area and offering a unique, aesthetically pleasing experience for visitors.
To ensure privacy, the primary workstations were positioned away from the large perimeter openings. These areas were carefully planned to include functional zones such as product display stands, a waiting area, and a coffee corner, creating a balanced and welcoming environment.
The project was designed and executed with great attention to detail, respecting the heritage building and its historical significance. Most of the lighting fixtures are custom-made, including the central installation, the reception area, and the makeup station, showcasing the craftsmanship and uniqueness of the project. The result is a seamless blend of old and new, executed with harmony and refinement.
